Our COVID Response
(Updated: 2021-01-07 )
We wanted to update and reassure you that Physiotherapy services can remain open during the current UK national lockdown restrictions.⠀
As ever, we continue to stringently follow all official guidance on how we can continue to offer a safe environment to treat our patients. And of course, if you’d prefer video appointments, we offer those too.⠀
We continue to undertake the following measures and should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send us a message.
STEP 1
Kingdoms a specialised cleaning service regularly disinfect and sanitise the clinic. They undertake a deep clean which includes the COVID-19 specific practice of fogging. The Super Blitz Fogging Machine has been proven to destroy 99.99% of harmful airborne bacteria and infectious organisms and this has been used in every room of our clinic to ensure we are inviting you into a safe environment.
STEP 2
You will be registered at the West Reception and the receptionist will call down to see if it is safe for you to make your way down to our clinic in an effort to avoid unnecessary crossover with other people. If it is your first time coming to our clinic, one of our team will come up and meet you upon your arrival. Once our team has met you we will take your temperature by forehead thermometer and then escort you to a clean treatment room that has been assigned to you.
Please note that should you develop a temperature greater than 37.8 degrees or a new persistent cough that you should not attend your appointment and notify us in advance. Where appropriate, we can revert this to an e-consultation or postpone if preferred.
STEP 3
We will have masks and gloves available for those who wish to use them and our staff will be abiding by all latest government and registration board advice regarding their personal use. Please note that should our staff be wearing gloves and a face mask, this is not designed to offend or intimidate – rather to keep us all safe!
STEP 4
Hand hygiene is essential in managing the spread of this disease and we have hand sanitisation products throughout the clinic for you to use. We will be asking clients to wash their hands thoroughly on entry and exit of the clinic.
STEP 5
We are lucky enough to have seven treatment rooms at Spectrum and therefore will be social distancing wherever possible. As well as the one-way system within the building, once within our clinic space we want you to feel comfortable. We will be ensuring a thorough clean of each room is conducted between clients, as well as minimising your contact with those it is not necessary to have it with.
Should you have any questions regarding our risk assessments or action plans being undertaken, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone to discuss this further with a member of our team
