Natalie Gummerson
Born and raised on the outskirts of Toronto, Natalie combined her love of long-distance running and figure skating with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree in Biomechanics and Ergonomics.
On graduating, Natalie quickly progressed to a Masters of Physiotherapy degree, and immersed herself in a variety of rehabilitation settings, including working with children, adults, and the elderly. During this time, she also gained valuable experience as a Kinesiologist, working with disabilities and neurological disorders.
Today, Natalie is an established musculoskeletal physiotherapist and is passionate about optimising movement and performance for people of all ages and backgrounds. With a particular focus on sports and athletics, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to help clients overcome injuries and achieve their physical goals.
As the current physiotherapist for the FIMBA GB Basketball team, Natalie specialises in working with acute sport injuries, and is highly experienced in techniques such as dry needling and acupuncture. This enables her to precisely identify and address pain and dysfunction. Her tried and tested knowledge of biomechanics additionally allows her to analyse movement patterns and develop tailored treatment plans, which optimise function and prevent future injuries.
With a hands-on approach to manual therapy and a personalised approach, Natalie always strives to provide care that addresses the unique needs of each individual. This includes everyone from professional athletes looking to reach their full potential, to patients who simply aspire to live life to the fullest.
